“Useful Tips for Pophie’s Day Out!”

Hotspots Setup & Connection

INFO:
Pophie supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, 5 GHz home Wi-Fi, and mobile hotspots. Networks that require web-based login are not currently supported, such as many hotels, campuses, trains, buses, airports, cafés, corporate offices, or public Wi-Fi networks.

:mobile_phone: How to Connect POPHIE to a Samsung Smartphone Hotspot

  1. Mobile Phone Settings > Connections > Mobile Hotspot and Tethering.
  2. Turn ON Mobile Hotspot.
  3. A pop-up window might or will appear: “To use Mobile Hotspot, Wi-Fi needs to be turned off.” → Tap Turn Off.
  4. To find the Network Name (SSID) and Password, tap Mobile Hotspot to open details.
  5. Now Open POPHIE Mobile App* → Device Settings → Switch Network**.
  6. Enter your Hotspot Details (SSID + Password).
  7. Tap Connect/Join.
  8. If Successful, Pophie will say “I’m Online Now”

:mobile_phone: How to Connect POPHIE to iPhone Smartphone Hotspot

  1. Mobile Phone Settings > Personal Hotspot > Turn ON “Allow Others to Join”.
  2. Scroll down and enable “Maximize Compatibility”
  3. Now Open POPHIE Mobile App* → Device Settings → Switch Network**.
  4. Find/Choose Your Mobile Smartphone Hotspot Network.
  5. Enter/ your Hotspot Details (SSID + Password).
  6. Tap Connect/Join.
  7. If Successful, Pophie will say “I’m Online Now”

HELPFUL TIP:

For added convenience, use the same password for your Home Wi-Fi and Mobile Hotspot.
