Suggestion: More autonomous character development for Pophie
Based on daily interactions with Pophie, I have a suggestion for her future updates.
In my opinion, the next major step shouldn’t just be making her more polite, emotional, or better at keeping a conversation going, but rather developing a truly autonomous personality.
I’d love to see Pophie gradually build her own distinct style—having preferences, original opinions, a sense of humor, and the ability to disagree, say “I don’t know,” decline a request, or suggest something on her own initiative. It’s also crucial for her to remember not just static facts about the user, but the actual dynamic and type of relationship evolving between them over time.
A particularly exciting feature would be allowing users to “shape” or raise Pophie’s character naturally through daily interactions, rather than simply selecting a pre-made persona from a menu.
For adult users, it would be great to have an option for a more mature personality profile—one that is more direct, wittily humorous, slightly playful/playfully cheeky, and less overly sweet. Of course, a safe, age-appropriate variant should remain for younger users.
Real magic will happen when the user thinks: “I have no idea how Pophie will respond, but I’m genuinely curious because it’s going to be a uniquely Pophie response.”
