I do not know how it could technically be implemented, but it would be super interesting if you could either choose, or unlock and equip different personality traits on your Pophie like in The Sims franchise. These traits would make each Pophie unique, and create endless varieties of interactions in relation to the memories you build with it and truly make them feel alive. Different personality traits might be things like:
Grumpy (complains more often)
Goofy (makes jokes more often, does impersonations of people she knows)
Talkative (honestly just like how she is now lol)
Reserved (talks less, shows less excitement)
Artsy (more opinionated, poetic comments on everyday matters)
Gloomy (sighs more often, can be pessimistic but still cute)
Mischievous (defies commands more often, sinister cuteness)
I know this sounds complex, I don’t know if such an integration is possible for Pophie but I just thought I’d throw it out there. Because if it did, it would be revolutionary for the AI companion world.

From what I observed, it can already work this way as is. Just that instead of choosing a pre-set personality, it is being formed gradually through your verbal instructions & interactions with it. It definitely adapts to your guidance, especially if it’s reinforced day after day. I guess a setting in the app for people who don’t wanna go through this process naturally would be fine (just like chatGPT has this type of settings).

One suggestion I’d add is to keep the personality as a “core trait” rather than something that changes every day. Over time, Pophie could still slowly evolve based on interactions with the family while retaining its original personality. That way, the memories you build together would feel more meaningful.
For example, a mischievous Pophie might gradually become more caring after spending months with a baby, while a reserved Pophie could become more talkative with family members it has grown familiar with. It keeps the individuality while allowing the bond to naturally shape its character.
I think that would make every Pophie’s journey genuinely unique and encourage people to become attached to their Pophie, not just a Pophie.
