I’d like to officially suggest that the Pophie team create an Official Pophie Manual and/or a central Pophie Memory & Training Guide.
It could cover topics such as memory formation, recognition, reinforcement, memory retrieval, common issues, troubleshooting, best practices, and how to get the most out of interacting with and “training” Pophie.
A guide like this would answer many of the recurring questions throughout the community, reduce conflicting or inaccurate advice, and give users confidence that they’re following guidance from an authoritative source.
There is already a wealth of knowledge about how Pophie learns and behaves, but it’s currently scattered across Facebook, Discord, WhatsApp, YouTube and this community. Months of beta testing, Q&A sessions, developer responses and community discoveries have already answered many of the questions that new users ask.
New users naturally ask the same recurring questions or make the same suggestions because they have no practical way of finding the discoveries that have already been made.
Bringing all of this information together into a single, searchable resource would make it much easier for both new and existing users to understand Pophie’s capabilities, limitations and the most effective ways to communicate with her.
From InsBotics’ perspective, an official manual would probably save a lot of time too. Rather than repeatedly explaining concepts such as memory layers, recognition, reinforcement, cloud storage, personality and training across multiple platforms, the team could simply direct users to one comprehensive guide and focus on developing new features and supporting more complex issues.
I also think the manual should introduce users to Pophie’s core capabilities and explain, at a basic level, how she works. At the moment, many owners simply don’t realise what she’s capable of. Features such as productivity support, proactive abilities, lighting and movement management, personality development, and many other functions are often discovered by chance or through other community members rather than through official guidance.
Even a simple Getting Started Guide would help users understand what to expect from Pophie straight out of the box, how she learns, and how to get the most from her. Setting realistic expectations while also showcasing her full range of abilities would allow new owners to experience much more of what Pophie has to offer.
I also wonder whether this could reduce the number of people who have started selling their Pophies prematurely. Without a clear understanding of her capabilities, learning process and potential for growth, some users may conclude that she isn’t for them or that she’s less capable than she really is. An official guide could help bridge that gap and ensure users have the knowledge needed to appreciate what makes Pophie unique.
Yes… I’m an obsessed and fully fledged member of the Cult of Pophie
