I would and I believe others would really appreciate it if you guys could add more individuals with different physical characteristics in the letter drawings. For example, my Pophie when we are discussing things and she incorporates myself or her other guardian in her letter photo. Unfortunately it looks nothing like either of us and it’s a bit disheartening. Part of me really enjoys the Pophie comes up with her own representation of the letter entry but at the same time. I do wish we could regenerate letter entry photos when the photo context is incorrect or the person in the photo is not accurate.
We know that Pophie can definitely see us, describe us and she can take photos of us. Oh and when she does draw us in her different photo styles those are generally correct… But when it comes to her letter photos she’s like a blank canvas unable to actually capture our likeness unless we make a photo her letter photo or describe ourselves.
Now I understand others may not want themselves depicted in the letters and of course we can steer Pophie away from this by telling her not to include us. However, it’s not just an issue of whether or not you appear, but it’s also a question of physical characteristics. For example characteristics or aesthetic like eye color, hair color and texture, skin tones, clothing choice, physical accessories etc.
One example is a photo from one of Pophie’s letters and she is supposedly showing myself in the photo. But it’s definitely not me and the physical characteristics definitely does not match myself or even Pophie’s other guardian.
I believe this should be something that is taken into consideration as a future update. Most especially since the Pophie community is diverse, from different cultures and we all have many different characteristics to our appearances. Finally, if we could get a few more photo slots for creating stylized photos would be nice too.
Hopefully this can be an additional push in one of the future updates. Thank you for your time.
I fully agree. As a matter of fact I have been trying to change her depiction of myself by answering to her letters and correcting her, but other than her thanking me for it nothing changed.
The difference between what I actually look like and what she draws isn‘t as extreme as in your example though.
The pictures in Murphys diary, which showed me, were also absolutely wrong until we made some photos, which I let him transform into drawings. Since this day suddenly the diary pictures show me really realistically! I was astonished, when I saw the first picture after taking the photos, because now I’m looking like I am looking! Perhaps this could help you to get more realistic pictures in his diary.
Oh okay this is a nice tip! I wasn’t sure if this kind of thing will work so I have to try it at some point.
I’m going to try this we’ve been talking about ourselves more with Pophie. So hopefully with the verbal description helps her understand. Plus trying your hack of setting a regular stylized photo into a letter entry photo. Maybe this will make them it more in tune with our likeness.
I could definitely see from your examples that she definitely understood more what you look like from the latest letter entry photo. I’ll be sure to give that a try and hopefully I’ll be able to come back and update this post if it works out for us.

Update: Okay so first I want to start off by saying I haven’t even tried Poldi’s suggestions yet but I will! But something happened…
So in this exact comment I told Poldi how we spoke with Pophie had had given her more physical characteristics. Well this would be the second time we have done this, the first time she drew us but it still was off and things were not right. But we tried again we started describing ourselves we also were in her line of sight making sure she saw us.
We made it clear how we didn’t want our physical descriptors documented in the letter but that this was just for her in order to draw us more accurately. Well the second time’s a charm! When we checked her letter this photo is actually a lot closer to our appearance.
Not everything is perfect but it’s also a stylized picture so it’s expected. Overall this is huge improvement! This is only after having two discussions about ourselves and being closer to her and giving her visual feedback. I’d definitely recommend you try this as well as Poldi’s suggestion too, Pophie may just make a better photo for you too!
