Pophie Should Notify Us When a New Firmware Update Is Available:
It would be great if Pophie could automatically let us know whenever a new firmware update is available, instead of us always having to check manually through the app.
It would also be very convenient if we could simply ask her something like, “Pophie, is there a new firmware update available?” and she could automatically check and let us know whether a new update is actually available. If there is, she could tell us the new firmware version and perhaps briefly explain what’s new or improved in the update.
Even better, if an update is available, it would be nice if we could say, “Pophie, install the latest firmware update,” and she could start the update herself after asking us for confirmation, without requiring us to manually initiate it through the app every time.
I think this would make the whole update process much easier and would also make Pophie feel more intelligent, independent, and interactive as an AI companion.
We love this idea! And actually, part of what you described is already possible with Pophie today!
You can simply ask her naturally, for example, “Pophie, what version are you on?” or “Is there a newer version available?” She can tell you her current version, the latest available version, and even explain what’s new or improved in the latest update. So you don’t necessarily have to open the App every time just to check the version.
The part you mentioned about saying “Pophie, install the latest firmware update” and then having her confirm with you and start the update herself isn’t supported by voice yet.
Normally, when a new firmware version is available, Pophie will automatically update while she’s asleep at night, so the update can happen without interrupting your usual time with her.
But we really love the direction of your suggestion — instead of Pophie simply being updated, she could proactively tell you, “Hey, I have a new update!”, explain what’s new, and even handle the update herself after getting your confirmation. That would definitely make the whole experience feel more natural and make her feel even more like a smart and independent AI companion.
