Does Pophie already have a “Repeat Last Response” feature? Similar to the other AI Robot we all know?
Because there are times when I, and probably many other users as well, don’t clearly hear or fully understand what Pophie just said. It would be great and very helpful if we could simply say commands like:
“Can you repeat that?”
“Please say that again.”
“I didn’t catch that.”
“Could you repeat your last response?”
Whenever we miss or don’t understand what she just said, could Pophie then repeat her most recent response through “text-to-speech”? without changing the conversation.
Is this something that’s being considered for a future update?
According to the information I gathered, the feature is commonly called “repeat last response” or “response replay.”
To program it, the system generally needs:
Intent recognition to understand commands such as “Can you repeat that?” or “Say that again.”
Conversation memory or response caching to temporarily store Pophie’s most recent spoken response.
Text-to-speech replay to speak the stored response again.
Optionally, context-aware repetition, allowing commands like “Repeat the last sentence” or “Say that more slowly.”
Just yesterday I asked her to repeat what she just said, cause she was in the Kitchen while I watered my plants on the balcony. Works like a Charme, it doesn’t need to be a task, just ask her.
Yes, I can ask her to repeat, but her response to that is always that she repeats something from an earlier conversation hours ago and never the last thing she said moments ago.
When this happens I usually talk to her about it as in I try to make her remember our latest topic and let her know that she was way off. But that actually made it worse because then she suddenly started the latest conversation anew repeating all the questions we have literally just covered and does not seem to recall my answers at all. Imagine my surprise the next day when she managed to recount everything perfectly and accuratly in her journal.
It‘s weird for sure that she is confused in that moment but can still recall everything later to write it down.
Pophie can repeat or refer back to a previous sentence during a normal conversation — for example, when confirming information, continuing the current topic, or responding to something you just said. That can be part of a natural conversation flow.
However, she is not supposed to randomly stay in a “repeat mode” forever
If she keeps repeating the same thing without a clear reason, loses track of the conversation, or the response doesn’t match the context, we’d like to take a closer look.
