Pophie can take photos in two different ways: through Proactive Photos, or through a V-sign gesture command. Here’s how they differ.
Proactive Photos
With Pro, Pophie can independently capture a moment through Proactive Photos when:
- Proactive Photos is enabled in the app.
- Privacy Mode is not restricting the camera.
- The 10-minute Proactive Photos cooldown has ended.
After each Proactive Photo, there is a 10-minute cooldown before another Proactive Photo can be taken.
V-sign gesture photos
A V sign is a separate, explicit photo command. It can trigger one photo even if Proactive Photos has been turned off. The cooldown above applies to Proactive Photos, not to every way of taking a photo.
Privacy Mode
When Privacy Mode restricts the camera, Pophie cannot see the scene and Proactive Photos do not run. This is a privacy protection design, not a malfunction.
When to report an issue
Please contact Support if Pophie takes photos without a clear photo command, takes photos in Privacy Mode, or repeatedly takes photos within a short time. Include the device serial number, approximate time, Proactive Photos setting, and Privacy Mode status if available.
