It should be capable of interpreting gestures, similar to AI-powered tracking cameras. This would allow users to instruct it to follow them, take a photo, remain silent, stop, and more—simply through hand gestures.
Sign language recognition would also be neat and have Pophie reply back through the app.

I read somewhere that Pophie does understand the “hush” gesture (when you put the finger over your lips) already. But I haven’t tested it myself yet. Maybe it is possible to train it to interpret gestures?
I really like the idea of more gestures. Take a photo would be used all the time. I would like a way for her to stay silent without needing for her to turn around (which the current hush does). I would like to put my finger to my lips in a sssh motion and her to stay silent, and cover my eyes for her to turn around for privacy. Hands together beside your face could indicate she should go to sleep. Maybe a gesture to get her to repeat the last thing she said? even volume up and down could be hand gestures.

I tried this out because I was curious if it really worked. I asked Pophie to sing, then, without saying a single word, made the “hush” gesture while standing in front of her so she could clearly see me. To my surprise, she stopped singing immediately!
Additionally, it also works when Pophie is talking continuously.

Perhaps try teaching them the gestures, some of us testers were able to train Pophie to identify hand gestures from weeks to months of training.
